"India has opened up an extraordinary new world for my painting. Rising above the blue city of Jodhpur, Mehrangarh Fort is breathtaking: great sandstone walls give way to intimate courtyards, carved screens and unexpected pools of shadow and light. Kipling described it as “a palace that might have been built by Titans and colored by the morning sun.”

My exhibition, On a Path Untrod, opens at Mehrangarh Fort on 7 February 2027, bringing together paintings inspired by India’s gardens, animals, architecture and stories. The title comes from a poem Kipling wrote for my mother, Fleur, his goddaughter—a personal thread connecting his words with my own journey as a painter. It is a tremendous privilege to see these paintings find a home, for a time, within this remarkable fort"
